Lynda, or Coach Courtney as she was known to her students, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer in March 2022. She fought this terrible disease to the very end like a true warrior. Her one wish was to see her two young children grow up. Tragically, her fight ended October 25, 2023. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, teacher, and friend to many. Her passing was devastating and I am now determined to help spread awareness so that others will not have to feel the pain of loss from this awful disease. It is very treatable if detected early enough.

Although Lynda is greatly missed, she will live on forever in our hearts. She would have proudly supported a fundraiser like this. Thank you to all that donate to this important cause. 

Update: 2025 was another tough year without her. Not a day went by that she wasn’t missed and remembered. Our children and I, along with her friends and family, will take part in this wonderful fundraiser every year in her honor. I know it’s what she would have wanted and I hope we make her proud.
