In 2016, Team Marlee (Helbig) became A MORE BIG LIFE - here is why as written by Marlee in 2016:

A few days before Andrea Creekmore passed away, her husband Mike, her best girlfriends, her parents and sister, allowed me to be with her for the day. Most of my time was spent in her room with her girlfriends talking to her some (she slept most of the time) but mostly talking about her. They shared memories of her that had us laughing and crying, usually at the same time. I could go on and on about Andrea and never fully convey the largeness of her spirit, the joy and heart she put out into the world.

So, what now? Where do I go from here? In what way can I add purpose to the cancer battles Andrea and Derek Hedges fought? To the battle I fought? In what way can God use me to redeem the loss? Just a little bit. There are a few things that I know of now - hopefully more will reveal themselves in the many years to come. What I've learned from Andrea and Derek - equally (if not more so) in their living as in their dying - is to LIVE. FOR REAL. Going through the motions just isn't good enough. Live "BIG". And do.
