It’s that time of year! Time to get your rear in gear! On March 28th we will walk as Andrea’s Blue Brigade once again to raise awareness for colon cancer. I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in 2003 and always knew cancer was a possibility. I was very faithful with my colonoscopies. A routine scope in March of 2015 showed narrowing in the lower colon but no cancer. A recheck 3 months later showed stage 3 colon cancer, I had turned 39 the month before. The year that followed was one of the toughest of my life.
This walk is such an important day for me…to be surrounded by so many who have walked the same path. We walk to raise awareness for a cancer, that when caught early is 90% curable. A cancer that is the 2nd deadliest cancer and has now become the leading cancer killer for people under 50.
Last year I was the top individual fundraiser and I am aiming for that title once again! Your donation goes a long way in spreading awareness for a cancer that is not talked about enough. Thank you in advance for your support!
Thank you!
Andrea xoxo
